Voice Assistant

Smart Blinds

If you are a NDIS Participant, Assistive Technology (AT) may be included in your NDIS plan if:

NDIS recognises two product risk categories (‘low’ and ‘higher’) to assess the complexity of your AT needs.

 

Apart from the risks NDIS categorises AT into 4 levels of support:

Level One - Basic Assistive Technology

    This category includes Low Cost AT which are safe to use and are easy to setup.Products in this level include: alert systems, adapted grips, mobility, door bells and watches. 

 Level Two - Standard Assistive Technology

This category of Assistive Technology is available through speciality AT suppliers and require minor adjustments during setup. Products in this range may include hearing and vision devices, grab rails, ramps …

 Level there- Specialised Assistive Technology

This level needs more adjustments and modifications to suite participants needs and an assessment is required by an Occupational therapist.Products in this level may include; specialised vision and hearing devices used with PC's and smart equipment like iPads/laptops and smart phones. Environmental control including air conditioning heating and cooling.

 Level Four - Complex Assistive Technology

This category requires customised AT solutions and specialist to complete an assessment. It may require complex home modifications.Products in this range could include, voice control, lighting control, residential communication devices and complex environmental control such as heating cooling and AC.
